Bengaluru, Feb. 21: Mother Language Day was celebrated herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Banashankari. The students spoke about mother language in relation to these three languages, Sanskrit, Kannada and Hindi, and said that language has grown as a medium of communication at a developmental stage in human history. The thoughts, dreams and experiences of every child depend on the mother language. Everyone feels excited and proud when they hear their mother language. To further increase this pride, February 21 is celebrated as International Mother Language Day all over the world. For the first time, UNESCO officially declared this day in 1999. Through this, it paved the way for preserving and developing our Mother Language.
ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಫೆ. 21: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಬನಶಂಕರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತೃಭಾಷಾ ದಿವಸವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ, ಕನ್ನಡ ಮತ್ತು ಹಿಂದಿ ಈ ಮೂರು ಭಾಷೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಮಾತೃಭಾಷೆಯ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಮಾನವನ ಇತಿಹಾಸದ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಯ ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಷೆ ಸಂವಹನ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮವಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆದಿದೆ. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಮಗುವಿನ ಯೋಚನೆಗಳು, ಕನಸುಗಳು, ಅನುಭವಗಳು ಮಾತೃಭಾಷೆಯನ್ನೇ ಅವಲಂಬಿಸಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರಿಗೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಮಾತೃಭಾಷೆ ಕೇಳಿದರೆ ರೋಮಾಂಚನ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ, ಅಭಿಮಾನ ಉಕ್ಕಿ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ಅಭಿಮಾನವನ್ನು ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಹೆಚ್ಚುಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 21 ನ್ನು ವಿಶ್ವದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಅಂತರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮಾತೃಭಾಷಾ ದಿನ ಎಂದು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಪ್ರಥಮ ಬಾರಿಗೆ ಯುನೆಸ್ಕೋ 1999 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಅಧಿಕೃತವಾಗಿ ಘೋಷಿಸಿತು. ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ನಮ್ಮ ಮಾತೃಭಾಷೆಯನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿ ಬೆಳೆಸಲು ರಹದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿತು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
