Bengaluru, Aug. 11: Raksha Bandhan, a symbol of brotherhood and harmony, was celebrated herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Banashankari. Explaining the importance of Raksha Bandhan, the students told everyone that this festival is not only about the bond between brothers and sisters, but also a cultural festival that strengthens all human relationships in society. They mentioned many mythological stories behind the festival and impressed everyone with its spiritual and social aspects. Later, the students presented a melodious song that spread the message of Raksha Bandhan. After that, the teachers tied Rakhi with tilak to all the teaching and non-teaching male staff of the school. The students also tied Rakhi to their classmates, and all the teachers tied Rakhi to each other. The students of class 8 visited places like government schools, hospitals, post offices in the vicinity and tied Rakhi to the people there and explained the importance of the festival.
