Banashankari, June 19: Children of Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Banashankari Gokulam celebrated Green Day.A forest safari was organized for the children in the village beauty and garden activity room.The children were told in detail about the importance of Green Day and the benefits of protecting nature.

Bengaluru, June 19: The Oath-taking ceremony of the students’ union for the academic year 2025-26 was held herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Banashankari.Police Inspector of Kengeri, Sri Jagadish N., who arrived as the chief guest for the program, spoke and explained about self-defence and protection of society. He explained the issues of leadership qualities, importance of voting, police marshal scheme etc.

The jatha was inaugurated by Sri Naveen, Sub-Inspector of Rajarajeshwari Nagar Police Station. Dr. Shaila H N, Medical Administrator of Rashtrotthana Hospital, graced the program.

Principal Smt. Nanda and Vice Principal Smt. Sandhya inaugurated the program by planting and watering trees.
“World Environment Day is celebrated every year on June 5. It was first celebrated in 1973 under the principle of One Earth. There is no other planet that can replace Earth. Therefore, protecting the environment should be our first priority. Earth is not yours, not mine, it is ours,” said selected children, explaining the importance of Environment Day.

She also informed the mothers about the five transformations organized on this occasion of Rashtrotthana celebrating its 60th year.
