Personality Development Summer Camp for the Children of Drivers and Caretakers @ RVK – Banashankari

Bengaluru, Apr 5-11: A five-day Personality Development Summer Camp for drivers’ and caretakers’ children was organized herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Banashankari.

The camp was designed to provide a nurturing and enriching environment for children while their parents work. Through a variety of activities including song, dance, drama, games, art and craft, story sessions, and personality development sessions, the camp aimed to foster creativity, build confidence, and promote holistic development among the participants.

Activities conducted:
1. Song and Dance Workshops: Children engaged in fun and interactive sessions where they learnt songs and dances. This helped them develop rhythm, coordination, and appreciation for music and movement. They learnt shibira geethe, kaggagalu, vachanagalu, tripadi and shlokas as well.
2. Drama Sessions: Through improvisation, role-playing, and storytelling exercises, children explored their creativity, enhanced their communication skills, and built confidence in expressing themselves.
3. Games: Various outdoor and indoor games were organized to promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and physical fitness. These games also encouraged strategic thinking, problem-solving, and social interaction among the children.
4. Art and Craft Classes: Children unleashed their creativity through painting, drawing, and other hands-on art activities. These sessions allowed them to explore different mediums, experiment with colors and textures, and express themselves artistically.
5. Story Sessions: Storytelling sessions captivated children’s imagination and cultivated their love for literature. Engaging narratives based on Sri Rama, Nachiketa, Dhruva, not only entertained but also instilled values, empathy, and critical thinking skills.
6. Personality Development Sessions: Interactive workshops focused on developing essential life skills such as communication, leadership, time management, and emotional intelligence. Through discussions, and activities, children learnt to navigate challenges confidently and positively.

On all the days, breakfast, paniya, lunch and snacks were arranged to the children. The teachers also contributed to this cause. One of the days, Mathru Bhojana was arranged wherein parents of RVK-BSK prepared and served lunch to these children.

Benefits of the camp:
1. Holistic Development: The camp offered a well-rounded experience that nurtured children’s physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development.
2. Creativity and Expression: Through various artistic and performative activities, children learnt to express themselves creatively and confidently.

5. Fun and Learning: The camp provided a balance of fun-filled activities and educational experiences, ensuring that children enjoyed their summer while also learning and growing.

Conclusion:
As a conclusion to the 5-day programme, Samaapan was organized on Apr 11th. Sri Sangamnath ji, Sri Rajesh Deshmukh ji and Sri Vasanth Kumar ji graced the occasion. The children showcased whatever they learnt in these 5 days. Certificates were given away to all the participants. The children shared their experiences. The chief guest spoke and appreciated the children and gave valuable information and insights to the audience.
The Personality Development Summer Camp for drivers’ and caretakers’ children offered a dynamic and enriching experience where children could explore their interests, develop new skills, and forge meaningful connections with peers. By providing a supportive and stimulating environment, the camp aimed to empower children to thrive and reach their full potential.
